How to travel from Grenoble to Chamrousse?

Getting to/leaving Grenoble by bus:

Throughout the year, the T87 line Grenoble<>Chamrousse connects Grenoble and Chamrousse. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, costing €4.70 per person for adults. Tickets can be purchased on board or via SMS. Three buses operate per day on weekends and holidays, while two buses run on weekdays.

From late December to late March, the seasonal line Transaltitude connects Grenoble and Chamrousse. The journey takes 1 hour and 10 minutes, with fares ranging from €16 to €20, depending on whether you buy your ticket on board or on the Transaltitude website. One to four buses operate from Monday to Friday, and four to five buses run on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Several taxi and rideshare companies provide transportation options between Grenoble and Chamrousse. The journey typically takes around 50 minutes, with prices ranging from €95 to €135 per trip. Taxis are sometimes available near the Grenoble station upon train arrivals.
